"And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up out of their sight."

Jesus did not just float into the sky and disappear He entered into the heavenly realm, the unseen dimension where God’s throne is. Acts 2:33 confirms this:

"Therefore, since He has been exalted at the right hand of God..."

So He went to the right hand of the Father, fulfilling Psalm 110:1. That’s where He began His reign, not waiting thousands of years to start ruling, but sitting and ruling then and there.
